Saint Alphonsus is hiring a full-time Unit Host Cook in Nampa, ID to prepare hot food for patients and serve on the tray assembly line.Position Highlights and Benefits:

Schedule includes a guaranteed 40 hours a week. Shifts may include weekends, weekdays or holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge and skills to perform the required cooking methods (e.g., baking, broiling, roasting, steaming, frying) equivalent to two years of experience of institutional cooking.

Four years of experience in restaurant/institutional cooking preferred.

Six months of hospital cooking required and must be able to pass department sponsored Diet Therapy test.

Serv-Safe or comparably certified in HACCP processes within 90 days of hire.

What You Will Do:

Prepares and stores food for patients and visitors. according to accepted HACCP and UNICODE standards

Performs cleaning procedures of food service equipment and work areas.

Supervises production staff in the absence of the Chef.
