From your PASSION to oursThe QC Checker provides support to plant operations in maintaining operational quality standards. Responsible for the manufacturing of safe, quality food observing all Good Manufacturing Practices and reporting off-standard or abnormal conditions.From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:· Will perform required quality checks for string, fresh mozzarella, shred, sticks, and mozzarella departments. To include such checks as metal detector checks, leaker checks, weight checks, analytical checks, and various other checks to verify product conforms to the product specification.· When a quality check result does not confirm to requirements, performs necessary rechecks to confirm non-conformance.· Assist with initiating the hold procedure to control non-conforming product at time of packaging.· Pull samples from the line per sampling plan for each area to submit for microbiology, chemistry, sensory, shelf life, and/or pathogen analysis.· Complete screen sort checks as defined in sorting procedure and properly tag product needing additional action to bring to conformance. To notify QA Clerk/supervisor/manager of major defects or patterns of defects in a timely manner.· Document all quality checks accurately and in a timely manner including explanation of corrective action taken for any non-conforming quality checks.· Perform additional tasks such as pulling air samples, hand swabs, and maintenance of our shelf-life library.· Assist with audits, sensory analysis, · RequirementsRequirementsFrom your STORY to oursQualified applicants will contribute the following:Education· High School Diploma preferred, Associates Degree a plus.Experience· Experience in food manufacturing and USDA preferred. Specialized Knowledge· Ability to analyze, read/draft reports, manuals, and procedures.Skills / Abilities· Data entry, and strong problem solving. · Policy enforcement.· Basic Math skills (ability to calculate averages).· Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
