Here are some Key Responsibilities Communication Faculty:
Collaborate with department faculty on program initiatives.
Contribute to program assessment and curriculum development.
Teach courses in public speaking, argumentation, and related topics.
Represent the department at college events and in community outreach efforts.
Speech & Debate Coach:
Serve as a coach for the 8-Time National Championship CWI Speech & Debate Team.
Collaborate with fellow coaches to manage day-to-day team operations.
Coach students and prepare the team for competitions.
Coordinate travel planning and budgeting with department and school leadership.
Ensure compliance with team expenses in collaboration with the CWI business office.
Travel with the team to regional and national competitions, serving as coach and supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Master’s degree in Communication or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience teaching at the post-secondary level.
Ability to travel with the Speech and Debate Team
Preferred:
Experience coaching an intercollegiate speech and debate team.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching at a community college or with adult learners.
Experience using instructional technology to deliver online courses.
Service to an institution of higher learning.
