Central District Health (CDH) (https://cdh.idaho.gov/) is currently recruiting for a motivated individual to lead our McCall office as the Office Services Supervisor. This position will support all CDH programs within Valley County. Typical Duties: Supervision:

Supervise customer service staff;

Maintain competent and efficient customer service workforce;

Establish and initiate training procedures as necessary for new staff under the position’s supervision;

Evaluate performance of supervised staff;

Develop and maintain schedules of supervised staff to ensure necessary client services and staff support in the McCall office;

Coordinate and authorize vacation leave and sick leave for assigned staff;

Monitor quality of supervised staffs’ work products;

Prioritize workload of supervised staff with a focus on internal and external customer service;

Resolve staff conflicts and performance issues; meet with staff as necessary to resolve issues.

Clerical/Administrative Support:

Provide primary clerical and administrative support for all CDH programs;

Perform data entry in the Environmental Health data system and other databases that support the division’s Environmental Health and Family Clinical Services programs;

Support meetings, trainings, and emergency exercises;

Coordinate, compile, and submit reports as required by Department of Health and Welfare or Department of Environmental Quality contracts;

Ensure the accuracy and quality of written materials including forms, policies, plans, permits, newsletters, etc.;

Ensure security and accuracy of financial transactions;

Create/complete reports, applications, policies, plans, and other documents as required by special projects or initiatives undertaken by division staff;

Maintain supplies and equipment;

Related Work:

Coordinate and collaborate with Information Systems, Finance, Purchasing, and Human Resources to obtain needed support, and develop new or improved methods or processes for obtaining and providing information, supplies, etc.;

Resolve internal department problems, e.g., record keeping errors, data entry errors, etc.;

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations;

Participate in emergency preparedness training in order to fulfill emergency response role if needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Good knowledge of:

Office support functions.

Some knowledge of:

Supervisory practices.

Experience:

Interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or services;

Independently solving problems/performing liaison activities to deal with individuals or resolve conflicts in a work setting.
