1) Monitor and mix feed for each swine barn as needed (3 to 4 days per week).
2) Inventory feed products and supplies and report bin status in feed mill.
3) Report to me when the supply of feed supplements and minerals are low so they can be ordered and delivered before we are out.
4) Service and maintain feed mill equipment, tractors, and feed moving equipment.
5) Be able to operate a wheel tractor, loading and unloading feed wagon, and back up a trailer.
6) Help weigh, sort and load pigs for market.
7) Vaccinate weaned pigs in Hot Nursery.
8) Help with all maintenance of the swine facility.
9) Help move pigs from barn to barn.
10) Learn basic operation of all barns. There are weekend chores every 5th weekend.
We can train you in all aspects of this job. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation. You must have a desire to work with animals. Cocking Pig Ranch is 260 sow farrow to finish operation, located in Latah County, Idaho.
