Staff Accountant

Description Robert Half has partnered with a Lewiston/Auburn non-profit in search for a Staff Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including General Ledger functions, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll processing. Additionally, you will maintain depreciation schedules, reconcile fixed assets, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Collaborating with colleagues across departments, you will provide financial reporting, statistical analysis, and budget development support. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel. The ideal candidate will possess 3 years of experience with accounting software, payroll functions, and fixed assets management, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Candidates for this role should be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently to meet deadlines. Alongside maintaining accurate records and completing financial reporting tasks, the Staff Accountant will actively contribute to audits, insurance reviews, and regulatory filings.
