KLEW is looking for a Sports Journalists committed to covering the hard news of sports. The Sports Journalist for KLEW is responsible for producing both long form and daily sports content. You will be expected to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet, social networking sites and mobile phones, in addition to television.Responsibilities:
Gather sports information and report, write and edit content for all platforms.
Cover area sports
Ability to Travel to sporting events
Ability to produce sports stories and special programs both live and pre-recorded for broadcast and digital platforms
Report and write sports stories
Ability to edit video images
Skills and Experience:
Sharp news judgment
The ability to tell an NPPA style story
Excellent technical skills
The ability to work well independently
Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record
Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience with live shots is required
Experience with Live-U is a plus
