Title: Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) A Behavioral Health Home Organization (BHHO) is a community- based mental health organization, that is licensed in the state of Maine, has been approved by MaineCare to provide Section 92 services for members eligible for such services. Andwell’s Behavioral Health Homes team welcomes, engages and serves individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use. Case management services are delivered to adults and children, utilizing a team-based model of care. We aim to improve access to services while ensuring care planning is member driven and inclusive of natural supports as appropriate. What You’ll Do:

Provide access to peer support services, peer advocacy groups, and other peer-run or peer-centered services.

Maintain updated information on area peer services, and shall assist the member with identifying and developing natural support systems.

Draw from your personal journey to provide understanding and support to individuals facing challenges.

Inspire hope of recovery.

What You’ll Bring:

Must have one of the following:

Completed the Maine Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) curriculum for CIPSS, attained full certification as CIPSS and is maintaining certification as an Intentional Peer Support Specialist according to requirements as defined by SAMHS.

Within 9 months will receive provisional certification by completion of the CORE training and continue pursuit of full certification as a CIPSS and maintaining certification as an Intentional Peer Support Specialist as defined by SAMHS.

High School Diploma or GED required.

The CIPSS is an individual who is receiving or has received services and supports related to the diagnosis of a mental illness, is in recovery from that illness, and who is willing to self-identify on this basis with BHH members.
