SMC Shift Supervisor

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Shift Supervisor to work in our Annex/Utilities department at our SMC facility. This position works a 4x12 rotating schedule. You will report to the manager of our Annex/Utilities department.You will oversee operation activities to ensure the facility is operated safely and in full compliance with all laboratory requirements, federal and state regulations, orders, and permits. Maintain accountable for asset management and budgeting to ensure facility, equipment, and operating procedures are adequate and ready to carry out the SMC mission.Responsibilities Include:

Function as a Shift Supervisor for authorizing and monitoring work performed in assigned facility.

Lead all aspects of operation activities to ensure the facility is operated safely and in full compliance with all laboratory requirements, federal and state regulations, orders, and permits.

Maintain accountable for asset management and budgeting to ensure facility, equipment, and operating procedures are adequate and ready to carry out the SMC mission.

Support compliance to programs such as VPP, ISMS, Contractor Assurance Program, Quality Assurance Program, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance.

Lead assigned crew to accomplish production tasks while complying with applicable environmental, safety, health, security, and quality requirements for the SMC Project.

Manufacture a high-quality product while maintaining a safe work environment. Ensure the manufacturing equipment is operated within the safety design basis and environmental permits.

Ensure compliance and adherence to safety isolation control procedure. Ensure through familiarity with policies and procedures relating to the standards of Conduct of Operations.

Train and motivate subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such procedures.

Ensure the principles of the Integrated Safety Management System (ISM) are applied to all work.

Document a well-trained and qualified work force.

Discretion and performance of traditional management duties including selecting and training employees, work assignments, pre/post-job briefings, walkdowns, coaching, disciplining, performance appraisals, and salary and merit/promotion considerations.

Exercise leadership by providing clear directions, empowering employees, delegating responsibilities, recognizing and acknowledging contributions of others.

Minimum Requirements:

MR0200: Bachelor's Degree in a related field with four or more years relevant experience in an operations facility or 12 years relevant experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information

MR0200: Salary Grade 220 ($110,316 - $181,956)
