TITLE: Enterprise Systems Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.

B. 3-5 Years Database Management or related Information Technology Field (required).

C. 3-5 Years Customer Service (required).

D. Web/IIS experience

E. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

F. Extensive knowledge of SQL queries.

G. Ability to be able to extract and manipulate data from multiple systems and architectures.

H. Microsoft Server Administration (2012, 2016, 2019, etc).

I. Extensive Knowledge or experience of best practices for server provisioning (including VM/hypervisor environment).

J. Extensive experience with SQL Server Administration.

K. Previous experience with Tyler ERP Pro, Laserfiche, Fleet Vision, Fuel Master, or other enterprise related software a plus.

L. Ability to understand and adopt new technology as needed.

M. Ability to oversee, review and provide constructive criticism of all documentation for accuracy, proper grammar, and utility used within the department.

N. Manage enterprise systems team time and prioritize team projects accordingly.

O. Ability to successfully interact with clients and understand the needs of each unique department / organization.

P. Ability to maintain a positive attitude in various climates, motivate and support colleagues and team members.

Q. Ability to oversee a goal-oriented team

R. Extensive experience with active directory and other related RSAT tools.

S. Superb documentation, writing, and verbal skills.

T. COMPTIA A+ certification recommended, but not required.

U. Enhanced networking knowledge (routers, switches, TCP/IP, etc).

V. Extensive knowledge of computers and various programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Chrome & other popular applications.

W. Ability to effectively and efficiently research hardware, software, and database issues as they relate to the applications supported.

X. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology

JOB GOALS:

To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.

V. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Manage Financial ERP System:

-Oversee the administration and maintenance of the Financial ERP system, ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with data security regulations (PCI Compliance).

-Coordinate with the finance department staff to understand their requirements and optimize system functionality to meet their needs.

-Conduct regular audits of financial security settings and processes to identify and address any discrepancies or inefficiencies.

B. Laserfiche Management:

-Administer the Laserfiche document management system, inducing user access control, document indexing, and workflow automation.

-Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement document management best practices and standards.

-Provide training and support to staff on how to effectively use Laserfiche for document storage, retrieval, and collaboration.

C. System Integration and Automation:

-Evaluate and implement integrations between the Financial ERP system, Laserfiche, and other relevant systems to streamline data flow and improve efficiency.

-Develop and maintain automated workflows and processes to eliminate manual tasks and reduce errors in data entry and processing.

D. Data Analysis and Reporting:

-Generate custom reports and dashboards using data from the Financial ERP system and other sources to provide insights into financial performance and trends as requested.

-Analyze enterprise systems data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

-Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including finance department leadership and school district administrators.

E. User Support and Training:

-Serve as the primary point of contact for end users experiencing issues or requiring assistance with the functionality and access levels of the Financial ERP system, Laserfiche, and other enterprise applications.

-Coordinate with IT systems training coordinator to Provide one-on-one training sessions, group workshops, and instructional materials to ensure staff are proficient in using these systems effectively.

-Continuously monitor user feedback and system usage patterns to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

F. Security and Compliance:

-Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive financial and student data stored within all enterprise systems overseen.

-Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to data privacy, security, and compliance, and ensure that systems are configured accordingly.

-Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.

G. Vendor Management:

-Liaise with vendors of the Financial ERP system, Laserfiche, and other enterprise software to address technical issues, request enhancements, and coordinate software updates and patches.

-Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) and contracts with vendors to ensure that support and maintenance obligations are met satisfactorily.

H. Continuous Improvement:

-Proactively identify opportunities to enhance system functionality, streamline processes, and improve user experience based on emerging technologies and industry trends.

-Lead or participate in cross-functional teams tasked with implementing system upgrades, migrations, or other major initiatives.

-Solicit feedback from stakeholders and end users to inform prioritization of future system enhancements and development efforts.

VI. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all other duties as assigned.

VII. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, 254 days per year. Benefits will be in accordance with approved Board policy. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary as a Grade 14 – Grade 16 ($26.44 - $34.67 per hour) depending on experience.

This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.

VIII. EVALUATION:

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the DIrectory of Technology in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
