What’s important to you? Really think about it. What is the most important thing in your life? Does the company you drive for value the same things you do? For most people, quality time spent with family and friends ranks #1 on the list of things that are most important. Is that true for the company you drive for? Money tends to rank pretty high on that list too. Do you have to sacrifice home time in order to make a livable wage? What if that was different? What if you could drive for a company who believes that both are important and you never should have to sacrifice home time in order to make a competitive (NOT just a livable) wage.

Western Transport, Inc. is a locally owned and operated, Idaho Falls refrigerated, trucking company that has been in business since 1963. We are currently hiring Over the Road truck drivers and those looking to get their CDL A. We are a contracted carrier with stable freight, guaranteed miles, and pay for dead head. We understand that home time is important so your dedicated dispatcher works with you so that you can be home when you want and need to be. We ask that you work a minimum mileage commitment each month, this allows you to go out and back and have 2-4 FULL days home prior to going out again. We know the importance of speaking with people you have met face to face. Office staff do not work from home nor do we outsource. We offer HIGHLY competitive pay, 401(k) and match, affordable, but more importantly, amazing medical coverage (Blue Cross of Idaho) and dental benefits, paid vacation, friendly and available Dispatchers, an in-house Shop, and award-winning Safety. We also have passenger and pet programs. We believe our greatest asset is our people and we value you as a person; you are not just a truck number.

Responsibilities

OTR Truck Drivers and those wanting a CDL A

Our Over the Road (OTR) drivers safely pick up and deliver refrigerated freight across all 48 states throughout the year; our main lanes are in the Mid-West and South. We ask for a 10k mile a month commitment; home time is extremely flexible with 2-4 FULL days off each time you come home. We offer incredibly competitive pay and attainable bonuses so you can make even more. Don’t have experience? We offer a one on one paid training program to ensure that you feel comfortable driving OTR. Don’t have your CDL? We have a training program that can help you obtain one and we don’t ask for the entire payment upfront.

All Drivers

All drivers have personalized, friendly Dispatch who are in-house and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our in-house Shop maintains your late model equipment and ensures you can make it to the East Coast and back without a breakdown. Our techs have been named best in the state for multiple years. Our Safety Department prides itself in having the safest drivers on the road and our Safety Director has also won multiple awards.

To drive you must have a valid CDL A and DOT Med Card or be able to obtain both. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing following DOT guidelines. Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50+lbs.

Please give us a call at 208.529.9327 ext. 3, option 1. Become an OTR truck driver! We look forward to hearing from you!
