GEM STATE STAFFING IN IDAHO FALLS IS CURRENTLY TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR A METAL FABRICATOR.

Job Summary:

Detail Customers drawings, or prepare shop drawings of complicated parts, equipment and assemblies, including various views, sectional profiles and small or intricate details from sketches or customers drawings to relate pertinent information to shop personnel. Review critical material items from estimate sheet.

Essential Functions:

Review critical material items from estimate sheet

Furnish in writing to purchasing, a verification or any changes in material to be ordered

Detail customers print or generate PEFM drawing

Generate cut list for production

Write process order for each item

Generate all NC/CNC programs (if required)

Outside process sheets (if required)

Weld maps (if required)

Update all job packets with the applicable information

Conduct meeting to review the Engineers process order

Distribute completed job packets to the applicable departments

Review all drawing changes from the customer

Inform the Project Manager what affect the change has on the job

Issue all drawing changes to the shop floor

Provide technical assistance to the shop personnel on an as needed basis

Maintain safe environment

Marginal Functions:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be proficient in blueprint reading and good drafting skills, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

General computer knowledge, i.e., DOS and Windows commands and Data entry and program manipulation, working knowledge of most of the programs used in the Engineering department.

Proficient working knowledge of a Word Processor and type skills of 25 words per minute.

Has a minimum of 2 years working experience on a CAD system and can create basic geometry in 3D.

Effective math skills including algebra, trigonometry and geometry.

General knowledge of machining and fabrication processes and capabilities.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Education or GED equivalent preferred. Three to five years related experience; secondary education preferred.

Essential Mental Functions:

Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people. Is frequently called upon to handle difficult situations. Must be able to communicate providing feedback in a professional manner. Must be able to answer questions in a professional and friendly manner. Requires occasional public contact. Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.

Essential Physical Functions:

Requires sitting for prolonged periods. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computer, photocopier, calculator, etc. Requires vision correctable to within normal range for designing, spreadsheets, etc. Requires ability to give and receive communication to different levels of the organization.

Safety Requirements:

Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others

Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the employers safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.

Computer and related software, Copy Machine, Fax Machine, Basic Office Equipment

Availability:

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employers sole discretion.

Must be available and willing to work overtime as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Travel:

Must be available and willing to travel as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Working Conditions:

Works in a fast paced, stressful environment. Works in a typical office setting. Occasional shop exposure.
