We are a family farm that’s located north of Idaho Falls that is looking to hire an experienced assistant farm manager immediately. On our farm we grow alfalfa, malt barley, wheat, and corn while operating all newer John Deere equipment.
The applicant would be asked to assist in managing irrigation, keeping other employees on task, assisting in setting up and repairing equipment, manage equipment maintenance and help arrange delivery of product to and from market along with other farm related tasks.
The following is required.
-Valid drivers license.
-Clean driving record.
-Able to pass a drug test.
-Must have a minimum of 4 years farming experience
-Good attitude
A strong candidate would also have some of the following strengths.
-Bilingual
-Experience operating farm equipment such as tractors, swathers, balers.
-Some knowledge of how to use greenstar guidance and willing to learn more in depth use of it.
-Have the basic knowledge or experience with flood irrigation.
-Understand how to operate basic center pivot functions and willing to learn more in depth understanding of them.
-Be self motivated and a team player that is able to work alone and with others.
This is a full time, year round position.
As part of the compensation we provide.
-2 weeks of P.T.O. after 6 months of employment.
-Newer pickup that can be driven to and from work and used for all work related needs.
-End of year bonus.
-Pay will D.O.E.
We do not have housing to provide at this time.
