Looking for an experienced trucking logistics dispatcher that is able to work off the spot market and load boards as well as direct customers to keep our drivers/owner operators busy and booked out in advance. We currently specialize in dry van and refrigerated freight, but open to work with anyone who has experience with box trucks, flat beds, low boys, and any other type of equipment. We are looking to hire someone who already has at least 2 years of dispatching trucks and understands the hours of service and industry regulations and terms. This position can be done remotely if you already have owner operators who are willing to move with you to another fleet.
Job duties:
Loading Dry Van, Refrigerated, and Flat Bed Trailers for Company drivers as well as Owner Operators
Consolidating loads to maximize profits
Booking loads and assigning them to available drivers while making sure that their HOS allow them to make the transit
Dispatching drivers and maintaining communication with them to make sure the job gets completed in a safe and timely manner
Help drivers with any potential problems that may arise such as getting correct pickup numbers, issues with loading/ unloading, communicating with warehouses in advance, etc.
Coordinate with drivers and owner operators on their home time requests and make sure they are home when requested
Negotiating freight rates with freight brokers and customers to keep trucks booked before they make their deliveries
Meet monthly gross earnings and driver mileage quotas
Reach out to new potential clients for their business
Recruit more drivers/owner operators to grow your monthly volumes and income
Complete broker/carrier setup agreements
Recruit new drivers/owner operators to our fleet to increase your earnings
Maintain communication with our customers via phone and email with prompt response times
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years dispatching trucks with proof
Able to keep up with a fast paced work environment
Excellent multi tasking abilities
Able to keep up with a fast paced work flow
Proficient computer skills
Self Motivated Mindset
Able to keep up with phone calls and emails from 5am-9pm (typical hours are 6am-3pm mountain time but sometimes there are early or late pickups/deliveries that take place and drivers will need to be able to reach you when that occurs)
Resourceful with the tools and technology available to keep up with the work and outperform our competitors.
