Nomadic Van Sun Valley is hiring! We will be moving to a larger shop space in the immediate future and we are looking for a mechanic/shop manager to join our ranks and help us take Nomadic Van to the next level.
Nomadic focuses on the import, sales and refurbishment of 4x4 JDM vehicles released in the 90’s, namely the Mitsubishi Delica L300 and L400. We primarily work on 4 different engines (4D56, 4G63, 4M40 and 6G72) but with our shop expansion we will be looking to take on all JDM 4x4 clients; and possibly even sprinkle in the occasional GTR or Supra…
We follow an extensive, manufacturer-recommended, 100k mile maintenance routine from start to finish with each of our vans. We are well versed in sourcing parts, and every vehicle is meticulously examined, upgraded, tuned and tested before it leaves with the customer. We need someone that is detail oriented and more concerned about the quality of their work than rushing through tasks.
You must have:
· A series ASE certification or equivalent
· 2+ years industry experience
· Your own toolbox
· Communication and management skills
Not required but would like to see:
· A series ASE certification or equivalent
· Welding/fabrication experience
· DSM turning experience
Pay is hourly and depends on level of experience. We are willing to train the right person — please don’t hesitate to reach out if you are interested in the position. If you can understand metric tools, JDM vehicles are simple enough for you to learn to work on!
