Assemblers work with manufactured components (laminate and wood) to form work-in-progress or completed products for various cabinet jobs. They review instructions in blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other technical documents to build finished goods to specifications. Assemblers also gather required materials and maintain production equipment.
Assembler Job Overview
In the assembler role, you will use power tools and other industrial-grade instruments to bring raw materials closer to the final stage in the production process. You will follow all technical specifications and guidelines to ensure the highest standard of product quality and safety. Success in this role will be demonstrated by your ability to create outputs on par with the company’s standards.
Assembler Job Responsibilities and Duties
Fits, assembles, fabricates, and maintains production outputs
Repairs equipment and machines, when necessary
Ensures safety and cleanliness of area of responsibility
Secures and prepares the necessary tools and equipment for the production process
Reviews blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents
Trains and works with other assemblers on the production floor
Reports irregularities and malfunctions to management
Assembler Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Attention to detail
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Proficient in the use of mechanical and woodworking tools
Can work standing or seated for long periods of time (10 hrs per day)
Physically fit
Previous cabinet building experience, working with laminate
