Job Responsibilities:
- Install roofing materials such as shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, all forms of sheet metal roofing or related materials on steep-slope roofs 3:12 or greater
- Inspect problematic roofs to determine the best repair procedures.
-Knowledge and experience in working on a pitched roof, and being comfortable working at heights and on pitches.
- Knowledge of scaffolding and safety equipment set up before beginning work.
- Work with a team to accomplish roofing tasks on steep slopes efficiently and safely.
- Follow local building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean job site by clearing debris and hazardous materials.
- Ability to follow OSHA and Company fall protection and other safety requirements
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
-Preferred 2 years of experience in steep slope roofing or a related construction field
-Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-Successfully pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience in installing various roofing materials such as asphalt shingles, metal roofing, tile, and wood shakes
- Knowledge of roofing tools, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to measure, cut, and align roofing materials accurately
- Experience with underlayment, ice/water shield, and drip edges installation techniques
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations pertaining to roofing
- Physical fitness to lift heavy materials and work at heights
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Strong balance and coordination to navigate steep slope environments
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary
- Certification or willingness to obtain certification for the installation of specific roofing products
- Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety standards
