Essential Job Functions:

Perform MIG welds, such as vertical and horizontal fillet welds, grinding, blueprint reading and work planning.

Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material, and equipment requirements.

Cut, roll, shape, bend, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies.

Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines.

Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting.

Finish products by cleaning and polishing them.

Alter dimensions to fit specifications.

Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.

Maintain tools and equipment required for the job.

Read and properly interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of company employees

Adhere to and ensure company policies, attendance policies, and safety regulations are followed

Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Perform vertical and horizontal fillet MIG welds, with a high degree of quality

Problem solve and draw valid conclusions when issues arise

Multitask, manage time, and work in a fast-paced environment

Read tape measure and perform simple math such as adding and subtracting fractions, decimals, and whole numbers

Follow written and verbal instructions from management

Convey information effectively

Education & Experience:

Experience operating tools such as grinders, levels, buffers, impact guns, and D.A. sanders, is a plus

Experience operating a crane is a plus

High school diploma or equivalent

Welding: 1 year (preferred)
