That's the BME difference.Job DescriptionBME Fire Trucks is seeking skilled welders/fabricators with experience. We are a locally owned Fire Truck manufacturer in Boise, Idaho. BME manufactures wildland fire apparatus used in the US and Canada for wildland fire suppression. Be a part of something that makes a difference in saving lives, homes, and our amazing recreational areas. As a Welder, you will be responsible for: · Welding parts together to form the body and other components of the fire truck· Welding aluminum materials into structural shapes· Reading blueprints· Welding a visually aesthetic product· Identifying and maintaining dimensional and quality requirements of the buildQualificationsWHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:· Mig welding experience on aluminum· Be able to read blueprints of fire truck designs or parts. · Great attitude and high expectations for the quality of your work. (Our trucks are used in life or death situations and are expected to perform). · Physically fit – ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and climb ladders. · A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.· Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure· Excellent diagnostic skills· Ability to use plasma torch· Experience with hand and power toolsThis is a full-time permanent positions located on site in Boise, Idaho.
