QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

Local manufacturer of custom plastic fabricated equipment is seeking a quality assurance technician for a full-time position.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible IPQA and final quality control of machined and fabricated components to ensure they meet all customer requirements. Gathering QC data for creating/submitting FAI’s. Maintaining company compliance to ISO 9001 quality management system.

This includes but is not limited to the following: Working with employees, vendors and customers via phone, email and automated websites. Reading, understanding and fulfilling all customer packaging requirements upon final QC approval.

EXPERIENCE: Previous quality assurance experience and knowledge of ISO 9001 and precise measuring equipment is required. Knowledge of fluid processing products such as tubing, pipe, valves and fittings is helpful but not required. Understanding and using standard and precision measuring devices such as CMM, height gauge, profilometer, calipers, etc. Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to work well with customers, suppliers and other staff members. Must be well organized and detail oriented. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Computer experience required and must be familiar with Windows, all Microsoft Suite products. Knowledge of Solidworks and Quickbooks is a plus. Must be available to work occasional overtime. Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
