We are a well-established OEM manufacturer with a new 45,000-square-foot facility in Caldwell and are looking for career-driven applicants to fill full-time, long-term positions in our Machine Shop. We are seeking a skilled and experienced machinist or machine operator for an immediate full-time position. The successful candidate has experience operating CNC machines, mills and lathes, has good communication skills, and is able to work independently as well as collaborate with other machinists.
Responsibilities:
Run CNC lathes and mills to produce consistent high-quality parts.
Read mechanical drawings.
Read program instructions and setup tools to meet specifications.
Identify problem areas and make adjustments.
Set up and program tooling to create a part or component.
Keep machines and tools in good repair.
Take measurements and work with the Quality team to handle any quality issues.
Coordinate with other departments to verify that the order is correct.
Fixture design as needed.
Prototyping and working with Engineering on new product development.
Qualifications
Proficient in CNC machining and operation.
Strong blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge.
Skilled in precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Familiarity with HAAS and Mitsubishi contorls ia a plus. CNC programming is a plus.
Basic math skills and experience with manufacturing processes.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
