Job Description:
As a Merchandiser with The Sunshine Sauce Co., you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your schedule as you support our retail partners. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about making an impact in the food industry. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Proactively managing store inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages.
Creating appealing displays that attract and engage customers, enhancing their shopping experience.
Conducting in-store demos to introduce our flavors to consumers, driving sales and brand loyalty through direct interaction.
Developing strong relationships with store managers and staff to secure prime positioning and support for our brand.
Collecting valuable feedback on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity to inform our strategy.
Additional Responsibilities:
Educate and inform customers and store personnel about our products' unique qualities and advantages.
Ensure compliance with all retail policies, along with health and safety standards.
Assist with logistics and inventory control, optimizing operations and minimizing costs.
Provide insights and recommendations to enhance product visibility and sales.
Selling at farmers' markets and pop-up events, representing our brand and boosting sales through direct customer engagement and product showcases. Earn additional income with commissions.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Able to safely lift and transport up to 50lbs.
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in sales, marketing, or related fields is advantageous.
Previous merchandising or retail experience, particularly in the food sector, is desirable but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills, with a knack for building relationships.
Flexibility to work variable hours, including some weekends for special events.
