Part-Time Church Custodian Job Description
20-hours per week // Tuesday-Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for cleaning of church facilities (Main Building, Student Center and Food Bank house) including but not limited to: windows, floors, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, emptying garbage/recycle bins, general cleaning and sanitizing.
Maintenance Duties including but not limited to: changing light bulbs, painting, small repairs, general maintenance, servicing vacuums, carpet cleaning.
Light Grounds Keeping including but not limited to: snow removal near entry/walkways and fire escapes, pick up litter on church grounds, clean light fixtures including glass, clean around inside/outside doors, remove cobwebs and debris.
Preparation and Set-up for meetings, services and special events.
Energy Conservation: program thermostats, turn lights out.
Securing building at end of shift.
Miscellaneous / Extra tasks and duties that may arise or assigned by supervisor.
Personal Qualifications:
Cheerful servant attitude, hard-worker, flexible and dependable with a good attendance and on-time record.
Proactively responds to inquiries and concerns as well as actively looking for items that require attention.
Exhibits honesty and trustworthiness in all aspects of the job as well as personal integrity.
Supports the mission/values of True Hope Church and conducts themselves in a manner fitting a church support staff member both and off the job.
Recognize custodial/maintenance duties may not be limited to the job description.

Job Requirements:
Prefer valid driver’s license with a good driving record (for driving church vehicles).
Willingness to cooperate and be a ‘team player’ with a ministry mindset.
Flexibility to accommodate for special services and church activities (funerals, weddings, Easter & Christmas)
Physically capable of carrying out the required activities including but not limited to: climbing ladders, lifting up to fifty pounds, hanging banners.
Prefer previous custodial and general maintenance experience.

· Reports to: Operations & Missions Pastor // Amount of Day Spent: Bending 35% - Standing/Walking 65%
· Employee Works: Inside 85% - Outside 15% // Cleaning/Maintenance: Cleaning 90% - Maintenance 10%
· This is a part-time non-exempt position and is not eligible for health benefits. 10 days of PTO after 1-year of employment.
