At Waypoint Developmental Center our trained professional staff will provide Developmental Therapy, Recreation Programs, Supported Living, Behavior Intervention, and Community-based Supports for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We partner with the participants and their families to help them successfully reach their goals and dreams. We strive to build relationships that will foster a strong community, cultural awareness and respect, and support those families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Qualifications:
-Preferred - 1 year experience working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities, in a developmental disability program
-Be 18 years of age
-Must possess a high school diploma or GED or demonstrate competency with paperwork responsibilities
-Must be CPR and First Aid certified
-Be free from communicable diseases
-Must complete Assistance with Medications Certification in order to assist with medications
-Meet all training requirements
-Must have an Idaho Driver's License and have a safe driving record and current insurance
Specific Duties:
Position requires completion of initial orientation and annual ongoing training program. Be able to implement individual programs, take data, and complete daily paperwork requirements. Staff may provide individual or group therapy. Provide transportation as needed for participants. Prepare equipment and materials needed for implementation of developmental intervention strategies. Ensure the safety of participants. To all company standards, policies, and procedures.
This position requires that staff be able to assist in lifting participants as needed, physically assist in activities of daily living, pull and push a wheelchair, and get in and out of the homes of participants. This position may also require toileting and hygiene assistance for our participants.
Job Location(s): We serve throughout the Treasure Valley To include East Boise, Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Emmett, Homedale, etc.
Current shifts available for Supported Living:
7am - 3pm
3pm - 11pm
11pm - 7am
May consider block shifts for an experienced applicant.
Center Based Services
930am - 630pm
$13-16/hour
