Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to help with our local clients' frequent needs. The Preparer will be responsible for communicating with clients about the tax preparation process, setting appointments, and assisting with tax preparation and filing.Requirements Responsibilities:
Consult with clients to gather information on their financial situation, assess their needs and goals, and provide appropriate tax advice.
Accurately prepare and file federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses using various tax preparation software.
Research complex tax issues and regulations to ensure that clients are in compliance with tax laws.
Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure that accurate and complete returns are filed in a timely manner.
Review financial records such as income statements and documents of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a tax preparer role.
Current knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with tax preparation software and detailed knowledge of tax regulations and laws.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred but not required.
