NPosition Type ManagementJOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Marriott International. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Harness.io platform, which includes Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), Feature Flags, Chaos Testing, Security Testing Orchestration, and Site Reliability Management. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing various developer tools, such as GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube, Terraform, and more.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and ExperienceRequired:

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Or related equivalent experience/certification.

5+ years’ experience in information technology including:

5+ years DevOps Software Development experience

Proven experience working with modern software delivery products and related DevOps technologies

Proven experience managing developer tools such as GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube, Terraform, etc.

Strong background in CI/CD, feature flags, chaos testing, security testing orchestration, and site reliability management tools.

Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for learning and growth

Preferred:

Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field

Previous experience working with the Harness.io platform is a significant plus

Proven record of automating day 2 and toil tasks.

Harness Certification

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Python, Java, and Node.js.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Harness.io Platform Development:

Design, implement, and optimize the Harness.io platform to enhance CI/CD processes, feature flag management, chaos testing, security testing orchestration, and site reliability management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Harness.io platform and associated technologies.

CI/CD Implementation and Optimization:

Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.

Work closely with development teams to enhance code quality, integration, and deployment efficiency.

Continuously optimize CI/CD workflows for speed, reliability, and scalability.

Feature Flags and Chaos Testing:

Develop and implement feature flagging strategies to enable controlled feature releases.

Design and execute chaos testing scenarios to identify and address system vulnerabilities and weaknesses.

Security Testing Orchestration:

Implement security testing practices within the CI/CD pipeline.

Collaborate with security teams to integrate and orchestrate automated security testing tools.

Site Reliability Management:

Monitor, analyze, and improve the reliability and performance of applications and infrastructure.

Implement and maintain SRE best practices to ensure system availability and scalability.

Developer Tools Management:

Administer and optimize developer tools, including GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube, Terraform, and others.

Provide technical support to development teams regarding tool usage and integration.

In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus.
