Railroad Supervisor

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Railroad Supervisor to join our growing team. The Railroad Supervisor oversees the performance of assigned Technicians and is responsible for ensuring the completion of various tasks, such as spraying and/or clearing railroads and crossings, in accordance with contract specifications.Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing direction, support, and performance feedback. Ensure crew members adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures.Oversee the execution of daily tasks, such as spraying railroad crossings, clearing brush, and maintaining railroad right-of-way, ensuring all activities meet contract specifications and safety standards.Management: Ensure proper use and maintenance of company vehicles, tools, and equipment, including trucks, sprayers, weed eaters, and chainsaws.Monitor safety practices on site, conduct safety briefings, and ensure that all crew members are properly trained in safety protocols. Enforce adherence to safety regulations and OSHA standards.Coordinate daily operations, including assigning tasks and ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment used, and any incidents.Serve as the main point of contact between the team and management. Maintain clear communication with project managers, MTM (Maintenance and Training Management), and other relevant departments.Address any issues that arise during operations, whether related to personnel, equipment, or project specifications. Make decisions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Provide training to new employees, ensure ongoing development of the team, and maintain a high level of job competency.
