The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections is seeking a highly professional and teamwork oriented individual to join our team as a Project Manager 2 for the Community, Operations and Program Services (COPS) Division working out of our Headquarters office in Boise. This individual will work collaboratively with external justice partners and community stakeholders to promote innovative and evidence-based solutions by planning, managing and implementing projects that produce statewide impact and continual enhancements to the Idaho juvenile justice system. Please note: This position may be eligible for hybrid telecommuting in accordance with the Statewide Telecommuting Policy. Project Development, Implementation, and Consultation:

Takes accountability for plans and the coordination of program development projects;

Develops project goals, work plans, strategies, and timelines, implementing all;

Analyzes each project's decision-making issues, including identification of key stakeholders and available resources;

Develops and encourages stakeholder and/or community support; Identifies other agencies and organizations as project partners;

Identifies and coordinates with program committees and advisory groups to recommend project development and implementation;

Provides consultation and assistance with program planning, development and implementation techniques;

Coordinates publicity and development of graphics, brochures, pamphlets and other materials;

May train and advise staff, project advocates and/or participants;

Plans, facilitates and conducts meetings;

Speaks before groups and works with individuals to promote public awareness and advocacy;

Measures, evaluates and communicates program performance;

Consults with and provides problem solving assistance to staff on matters related to project activities;

May recruit project volunteers and provide training to others in volunteer recruitment and development;

May develop guides and handbooks.

Administration:

Takes accountability for administering project budgets and authorizes expenditures as necessary;

Prepares fiscal, narrative, and evaluative reports on project progress;

May identify and develop potential funding sources for projects;

May prepare applications or documentation to secure project funding.

Minimum Qualifications:Experience:

Planning and implementing projects including coordinating the development of project scope, goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies, and measurement processes/methods for assessing progress towards goals and project outcomes.

Interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public.

Developing and monitoring contracts.

Preferred Qualifications: Are not required; however, having the minimum qualifications and the education and/or experience below will increase your score:

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; OR at least three (3) years of professional experience as a project manager and a current certification as a Project Management Professional.

Good knowledge of:

Writing/editing in a professional setting; developing and posting guides and handbooks; interpreting and applying federal, state, and local laws and working with state and local government operations relating to juvenile justice and behavioral health systems; experience managing resources and resolving conflicts within stakeholder groups.
