Our mission is to make healthcare simpler, with proven and scalable operating models that seamlessly complement a healthcare organization’s infrastructure and allow providers to focus on what matters most: providing great clinical care to their patients.Position OverviewAs our Manager , Epic Compliance will serve as a business partner to, and subject matter expert for, compliance requirements pertaining to the company’s agreement(s) with Epic Systems Corporation (Epic), including:

Coordinating R1’s cross-functional efforts to ensure ongoing compliance with Epic requirements.

Providing compliance-driven review, guidance, and, as appropriate, administration and development of Epic-related policies and procedures

Maintaining workstream project plans and managing timelines for acquisition integrations and new customer onboarding efforts

Acting as a liaison with internal and external audit teamsfor Epic compliance-related audits

Reporting to R1’s Sr. Director – Technology and Epic Compliance, the successful candidate will have experience interacting with and presenting to an array of stakeholders, including all levels of company leadership. This individual will leverage a strong background in healthcare technology and/or legal and compliance to be a trusted partner to a variety of R1 leaders seeking to understand, address, and lessen Epic-related risk within their processes. Lastly, the successful candidate will be proactive in identifying potential or actual concerns and pursuing paths to resolve and report in an efficient, appropriate manner, and in identifying potential process improvement opportunities, including opportunities and methods to automate.Every day you will:

Serve as a visible thought partner in providing and communicating guidance and direction on Epic compliance and the organization’s overall Epic relationship

Demonstrate deep subject matter expertise that inspires stakeholder confidence

Manage overarching project/program management plans to ensure consistent messaging and implementation of Epic compliance requirements

Facilitate timely and consistent progress, including via continuous reporting, across multiple Epic compliance-related workstreams

Partner with R1’s Operations and IT Audit teams, within the Compliance & Risk organization, to:

Develop and deliver data analytics, in support of enhanced Epic complianceprocesses

Monitor and evaluate potential compliance risks and corresponding remediation plans relating to Epic compliance

Participate, as needed, in broader business initiatives such as due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions, business transformation, production and solution development

To thrive in this role you must possess:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; PMP training/certification a plus

Strong and broad understanding of Revenue Cycle Operations and/or demonstrated, relevant domain knowledge in one or more areas

Proven success at building relationships and credibility with key stakeholders and subject matter experts in relevant service lines on a global basis

Leadership experience in communicating important, complex guidance and requests for follow up to a broad network of stakeholders, including highly distributed and global workforce members

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Tenacity /Grit – This role will require getting deep into details and personally driving results in complex and challenging environments. While this work can be tedious, it is foundational to success

Analytical Skills – Understanding of complex Excel and Access and/or simple SQL are a plus.

Change Management – The ability to help counterparts through difficult transitions to a new process, workflow, or situation

Interpersonal Skills – The ability to establish oneself as a peer and trusted partner for our cross-functional teamcounterparts

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $68,788.75 - $122,646.00 per year .
