The successful candidate will participate in Geographic Information System (GIS) development and analysis projects. They will perform software development & maintenance as well as systems analysis. In addition, they will manage & analyze spatial & tabular data in support of water resource management.The position reports to the Water Resources Supervisor (GTS) and is part of a team that assists customers with GIS technologies at all levels. The position ensures the availability and integrity of GIS data; is responsible for the collection, storage, distribution, and synchronization of GIS data between various IDWR GIS servers and platforms; conducts data queries; and operates IDWR’s ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise instances. Duties are mainly in the office, with limited fieldwork and in-state travel.The Geospatial Technologies Section at IDWR leverages capabilities in Geographic Information Science to provide innovative, accessible, and verifiable geospatial products to support IDWR’s mission.
