About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer with experience building and delivering highly transactional custom software SaaS solutions to join our Cloud Operations team. You will work closely with Engineering and other Operations teams to build, deploy, and maintain systems and tools both in public cloud and on-premises. We are looking for someone with the background, experience and natural curiosity which will enable you to quickly dive into our technology stack and provide critical feedback and guidance to improve performance, scalability, security, and resilience of our services.

What You'll Be Doing

Work closely with Engineering, Product, and other teams to recommend, design, and implement infrastructure, tools, and processes to improve and scale our servicesOwn and optimize our CI/CD pipelines to deploy applications and components to both public and private cloud environmentsImprove resiliency and velocity through development and implementation of automation, configuration management and Infrastructure as CodeAssist with day-to-day administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tools, and on-premises application componentsMonitor systems and services to identify and proactively address issues - recommend and implement improvements to monitoring tools and processesProduce, analyze, and report on service metrics and KPIs for evaluating system performance and capacity planningContributing to internal documentation and training on systems and processesParticipating in on-call pager rotationWhat You Bring to the Role

Previous experience in a DevOps role providing end to end SDLC support, preferably in a SaaS companyDeep understanding of various AWS services and experience deploying and supporting external customer-facing environments - AWS certification(s) preferredExperience building, deploying, operating, and monitoring large-scale transactional systems and custom software solutionsHands-on experience building and supporting microservices (Docker, K8S, ECS, Nomad) and serverless (Lambda, Fargate) environmentsKnowledgeable in Python and at least one other scripting/programming language - demonstrated experience applying scripts and/or programming to address internal processes or tooling requirementsExpertise with development and CI/CD solutions such with BitBucket, Git, SVN, Jira, Bamboo, Jenkins, NEXUS, ArtifactoryRequirements5+ years experienceBS or higher in Computer Science/EngineeringExperience delivering services via Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud providersExperience building, deploying, operating, and monitoring large-scale transactional systems and custom software solutionsSubstantial engineering experience including scripting, software development, database (SQL and NoSQL)Self-motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to organize, plan and establish priorities to meet objectives on timeSolid understanding of continuous integration, deployment, and operations conceptsDemonstrated technical leadership and ability to communicate wellExperience with a UNIX shell scripting language such as Bash, Ruby, Perl, and Python as well as Windows scriptingFamiliarity with BitBucket, SVN, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, NEXUSSystem administration exposure both Linux and WindowsExperience with the modern DevOps stack including and not restricted to Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, JenkinsExperience with monitoring systems such as LogicMonitor, Nagios, PrometheusExperience with Docker and containerization strategiesExperience with SQL Server, MongoDB, NoSQL, Redis deployments
