The Ice Crew is a group of skilled ice skaters who support the Idaho Central Arena Operations and Idaho Steelheads at all Steelheads home games. The Ice Crew's primary responsibility includes clearing the ice surface of debris during media time-outs and assisting with on-ice promotions. Team members must be outgoing, athletic, and experienced skaters who are knowledgeable about hockey, interested in ice maintenance and comfortable in front of large crowds in a professional ECHL environment.Responsibilities:Sprint skating around rink to collect remnant snow from the ice surface a minimum of nine times per game while wearing ice skates and other required equipment or uniforms. Safely escorting fans and invited talent on and off the ice within the strict ECHL timing requirements, and if needed providing support for set up of on-ice entertainment during game breaks.Assist with in-game video features shoots as needed.Polish glass and dasher boards as needed to remove puck marks. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. May be required to aid in setting up for pre or post-game promotional activities. This may include cleaning of facilities if required or moving equipment.Wearing all the required safety equipment. This may include but is not limited to: Helmets, gloves, safety glasses, back braces, or cleats.RequirementsMust be at least 16 years old.High school graduate or equivalent.SkillsAdvanced ice-skating skills.Role is athletically demanding, candidate will stand for long periods of time, sprint skating the length of the NHL ice surface. (200 by 85 feet) Physically able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs., push and pull equipment and parts weighing up to 100lbs, independently or assisted; to walk, stand, sit, lift from floor to waist, lift from waist to shoulder, climb stairs, and climb ladders and any other physical ability required to perform assigned duties.Comfortable in front of large crowds and on camera or video. The ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced work environment.Flexible schedule - available to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.Ability to follow instructions.Must be able to initiate and maintain good customer and co-worker relationships in a team environment.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team atmosphere.Professional image consistent with company values.Passionate about the Idaho Steelheads and the sport of hockey.Successful candidates exhibit the core values of Teamwork, Respect, Integrity and Passion while delivering our core purpose of serving and inspiring our communities by creating memorable experiences through integrity and teamwork.PI250226814 Apply
