The Quality Assurance Specialist is a rotational position supporting the Installation Support Services (ISS2) contract at Wake Island, located 2,100 miles west of Honolulu, Hawaii. The selected individual will work on-shift for three consecutive months, followed by one month off. During the on-site work period, the company provides housing in a dormitory facility and furnishes all meals through the cafeteria. Sponsored aircraft transport individuals to Wake Island from Honolulu, as arranged by the government.Job SummaryThe Quality Assurance Specialist at Eareckson Air Station supports the ISS2 Quality Program by optimizing execution and ensuring services meet established quality standards. Collaborates with the quality assurance team, develops quality control procedures, and works with other departments to improve product and service quality. Provides specialized technical expertise, including inspection and testing techniques, training, statistical methods, audits, and problem-solving strategies. Ensures compliance by creating inspection reports and recommending corrective actions. Enhances product safety and reliability by maintaining quality procedures and materials. Develops skills for determining product conformance and collaborates to improve knowledge and expertise.Applicable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Performs duties associated with the administration of the quality assurance provisions of contracts by designing, implementing, and maintaining a risk-based surveillance program and assessment plan.

Performs inspections of various operations activities.

Prepare nonconformity reports (NCR).

Perform follow-up audits on corrective actions (CAPAs) in USG and ASRCC

Generate reports of conditions found during inspection activities

Document satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities

Perform advanced-level inspections of material received from vendors

Conduct in-process and finished product inspections of large or complex projects

Lead vendor site inspections of work in the fabrication and/or repair of parts and materials procured to support operations of the ISS2 contract

Ensure contractor complies with all requirements related to the design, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, and modernization of a variety of items for contractor and customer activities throughout the ISS2 locations.

Collaborate with a team of quality assurance specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective quality control processes.

Conduct comprehensive inspections across the program to ensure compliance with procedures, identify deficiencies, develop standard operating procedures, and validate requirements.

Inspect activities in all functional areas to ensure compliance with documented procedures, identifying deficiencies in workmanship, initiating and following up on corrective actions, and assisting in creating standard operating procedures and validating requirements.

Understand and apply external policies, regulations, and standards of workmanship.

Demonstrate proficiency with work instructions, subcontractor statements of work, ISS2 performance work statements, time card audits, and technical data package requirements for every functional program area

Read and understand detailed drawings, procedures, and internal process documentation.

Develop quality inspection checklists.

Provide continual updates to relevant personnel and supervisors about the work's progress, including challenges faced and significant accomplishments attained.

Interface with project personnel, project management, and customers as a representative of the Quality Department

Proficient in establishing and maintaining professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration

Performs various other duties as needed and assigned.

Requirements :Minimum Qualifications .

Bachelor's Degree in related field or relevant experience can substitute for degree on a year for year basis.

Two to four years of combined quality, auditing, inspection, and maintenance experience.

Two years of supervisory or leadership experience.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Experience implementing corrective and preventive maintenance programs.

In-depth knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of Quality Management.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio).

Preferred Qualifications

ASQ, Lean, ISO, Six Sigma, Project Management Professional certifications .
