In-Suite Dining Captain (Full-time)

Providing Inspired Food & Beverage to highlight the destination we represent is one of our passions.  As an In-Suite Dining Captain, you will be a hospitality ambassador that will connect our guests to the delectable cuisine inspired by our diverse culture and island home.  Your attention to detail, thoughtful service and support of the department’s day to day operations will help us showcase our passion and accomplish our mission of turning moments into memories.Hourly Rate:  $16.83What you will be doing:Support the Food & Beverage Manager in ensuring the successful daily operation of the department by keeping management informed of all guest reactions and comments, conducting pre-shift briefings and liaising with Executive and/or Sous Chef on duty during service.Supervise, coordinate and direct prompt, efficient and courteous delivery of all servicesLiaise with other departments to ensure seamless serviceAct as a role model to junior staff members by maintaining a professional work ethicSupervise staff, including coaching, counseling, training and adjusting schedulesMonitor weekly schedules and breaks to maximize labor hours and minimize overtimeBefore starting, check with cashier regarding specific duties for the shiftCheck service stations for necessary equipment and set up: ice, dishes, utensils, cleaning/sanitation equipment; replenish as neededDeliver In Room Dining orders to guests in a timely manner, according to company standards and guest’s delivery preference selectionPerform floor sweeps, picking up used In Room Dining equipment, tableware and table linensHave full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methodsAdhere to the State of Hawaii & EHC (Environmental Health Consultancy) food handling safety standardsOrganize time so all side work is completed according to shift demandMaintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guestsFocus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesContribute to the improvement of the operation by contributing ideas, making suggestions and actively participate in departmental communication meetingsActively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions
