Assistant Store Manager – Balsam Hill Studio

Balsam Brands is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to assist in managing our Balsam Hill Studio retail store at Whalers Village in Lahaina, HI. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help ensure that our customers experience the magic of Balsam Hill in an inspired holiday setting.The Assistant Store Manager will work side by side with the Store Manager to create a positive work environment that ensures customer satisfaction, maximizes productivity, and drives sales. From providing excellent customer experiences, maintaining inventory, to hiring and training staff, the Assistant Store Manager will play a crucial role in the success of Balsam Hill Studio. We are especially excited about candidates who have a proven track record of retail success and creating customer-centric shopping experiences!What you’ll do:Assist customers and provide top notch service to ensure all patrons leave satisfiedMaximize retail revenue while providing leadership the store teamPerform opening/closing routinesOwnership over store inventory as well as offsite inventory storageLead replenishment of merchandise as well as ship from store routinesProtect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met including workplace safety, risk management, merchandise management, and loss preventionSupport Store Manager as needed with sales reports and delegation of tasksLead replenishment of merchandise as well as ship from store routinesLead basic tech troubleshooting (POS, devices, printers) and ensures timely escalation to minimize downtimeCommunicate and provide feedback to corporate counterparts in partnership with Store ManagerWhat you bring to the table: 3+ years of retail experience preferred1+ year of management experience preferredStrong communication skills with customers and sales staffDemonstrated time management, organizational and multi-tasking skillsPassion for exemplary serviceGreat sales skills: retail sales experience a strong plusProficiency with iPads, basic computer skills, and basic data entry (data entry very minimal overall)Flexibility: willingness to perform other various duties as requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to work onsite for every shiftMay assemble and disassemble Christmas trees and other decorationsMay lift and or move items up to forty poundsMay be required to clean interior windows, including using a ladder when necessary, following all safety guidelinesNotes: This is a full-time, in-person position. Please note that placement within the posted salary range is based on several factors, including geographic location, experience, skills, alignment with role requirements and other job-related factors.
