Pay rate: $22/hour POSITION SUMMARY:We are looking for a strong service oriented and methodical Body Shop Parts Assistant for our Parts department that would be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments. The selected applicant must be able to work in a fast pace environment and be able to work independently.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Count, weigh, or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.

Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

Affix shipping labels on packed cartons, or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment.

Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.

Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.

Billing parts invoices.

Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

Ensure that outgoing shipments meet specifications.

Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.

Receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment and designate “Returned Goods, Receiving Clerk”.

Receive unsold products returned by Parts Driver.

Other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Prior automotive parts knowledge helpful

Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

Must have the ability to interpret vendor catalogs.

Must have the ability to use parts department computer system, calculator, motor vehicle, and tier-lift and hand trucks is also necessary.

Must have the ability to use mechanical tools such as crimpers, pliers, wrenches, and tape measure.

Valid in-state driver's license.WORKING CONDITIONS:While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25-50 pounds.
