At Fairmont Orchid’s hottest new restaurant guests explore the long-running creative culinary exchange between Hawai’i and Japan at our Traditional northern Japanese grill utilizing centuries-old practices of robatayaki: fireside cooking, grilled to perfection. Originating from Hokkaidō, Japan, robatayaki reflects the seafaring lifestyle: seasoned fishermen grilling up their fresh catch over the irori, or glowing white coals, served sizzling hot.What you will be doing: Provide unique dining experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal & detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast paced environment.Ensure a positive first impression of the restaurant for our guests through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control.Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, contents & preparation methods, outlets and hotel services/featuresPrepare mixer, cut fruit, receive requisitions, check par levels, refill mixers, get ice, run food, and collect and dispose of garbage.Ensure that the bar is set according to standards and proceduresEnsure guests receive warm welcome, timely service & a fond farewellTry to remember individual patron’s names and their preferences to extend a personalized serviceClean glassware and wipe down bars and tidy up bar counter after the departure of the patrons as quickly as possibleEnsure that all food & beverage are served according to service standardProperly identifying the age of all patrons.Tend to cashier duties for servers for cash payments.Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set bar service areas according to standards and proceduresAssist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when requiredApply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency proceduresMaintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all timesPerform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel
