Skilled/General Laborer

Minimum Experience: 5 Years of Experience
Ability to pass drug test
Ability to pass Workwell test and meet minimum lifting requirements
Must possess a current driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Be familiar with or have the ability to follow OSHA Safety Regulations

Summary of Position: Skilled/General Laborer for State of Hawaii DOT Project on Kauai
Duties/Responsibilities:
General Labor Duties and Assist Site Foremen and Superintendent
Work will include outdoor and indoor work, working at heights, and working in confined spaces
Clean work areas, machines, or equipment, to maintain a clean and safe job site
Load and unload construction materials
Assist equipment operators and other skilled labor when necessary
Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
Use of manual and power tools
Safety Compliance
Demolition
Scaffold erection and dismantle
Any and all additional tasks assigned
Qualifications:
Must be able to work in team environment
Has the ability to adapt to changes quickly
Strong communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel inter-island
Experience using fall protection
Flexibility in working hours, and ability and willingness to work extended hours
Able to work at heights
Compensation:
Hourly Rate and Fringe Based on Current Prevailing/Davis-Bacon Wage Rates
o Base Wage: $40.65 to $53.00 per hour straight time
o Fringe Benefit: 25.01 to 39.86 per hour
o Pay rate based on experience, skill level, and work performed
o Fringe Benefit paid out in Health Benefits, Prevailing Wage Pension Plan, and Cash
