Commercial PV Solar Installer
Responsibilities
The Commercial PV Solar Installer is responsible for installing commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. In addition to the skills and experience outlined below, we are looking for someone who is passionate about the solar industry, is a team player, whose values are in line with our own and who has the ability to learn and follow our processes. For the position of a Foreman on our team, you must have at least 2-years of solar installation experience and additional supervisory experience in the construction industry.
Your typical day as a Commercial Solar Installer:
Preparing buildings for panel installation by installing roof railings and stand offs and/or ballasted systems
Mounting solar panels on commercial buildings
Properly flashing all roof penetrations
Conducting supervised light electrical work including running electrical DC wires to inverters
Cleaning and maintaining equipment
Who we’re looking for:
Be able to climb ladders to get on a roof
Be able to work on roofs for 4-6 hours a day
Ability to bend conduit is a plus
Must also possess the following experience:
1+ year experience working on a roof
1+ year working in the construction industry
Electrical experience is a plus
PV experience is a plus (and is required for the Foreman position, as explained above)
Other requirements:
Valid HI Driver’s License
Pass a Motor Vehicle Report (no DUIs in the last 7 years)
Pass a criminal background check and drug test
Compensation: $20-$30/hr
