Seeking an EXPERIENCED Heavy Equipment Operator and CDL-Licensed (Class A) driver position for a licensed, local Maui, HI general construction and excavation company. MUST have a minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy equipment. This position is available in Maui, Hawaii, with Vares Contracting, Inc. We are only interested in candidates who are already living in Maui or currently in the process of relocating to Maui.
SKILLED, experienced Operators with a CDL Class-A driver's license are a VITAL part of our crew. This is not an entry-level position; we pay above-average for an above-average employee. We are a busy, family-run General Contracting company, specializing in all phases of construction with an emphasis on excavation projects and concrete work. We have a position available for an EXPERIENCED professional, reliable, hard-working equipment operator with FOREST MULCHING and SITE WORK experience who can also haul the machines to the job site, haul aggregate, or drive the water truck as needed. Looking for an employee who can be trusted to work as hard and as professionally as we do.

MUST:
Have a current, valid Hawaii HDL, prefer CDL Class-A Drivers License
Have AT LEAST 5 years of recent heavy equipment and truck driving experience.
Be safety-oriented, with experience operating excavators, compact track loaders, dozers, backhoes, and other equipment.
Experience driving manual transmission dump trucks and water trucks, and hauling using equipment trailers.
Be able to take direction and follow instructions and company policies, working efficiently with a crew and occasionally unsupervised.
Be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
Be RELIABLE and ready to work. Strong work ethic.
Be professional.
Currently live on Maui or in the process of moving here.
Have reliable transportation.
Have basic tool set and hard hat, work boots, etc.
