Job Summary:
The Recon Body Technician is responsible for performing body repairs on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards. This includes metal and plastic panel repairs, part removal and installation, and preparation work. Job Responsibilities:
Body Repair & Maintenance:
Repair metal panels and plastic components, including bumpers
Perform spot welding and sheet metal repairs
Conduct minor pulling of metal panels
Complete primer repairs and basic prepping
Remove, replace, and install vehicle panels
Review and verify repair estimates and required parts
Report any estimate deviations to management
Maintain tools and equipment; report repair needs
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe tool operation
Comply with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA and hazardous waste policies

ASE certifications preferred

Education and Experience:
Preferred: Associate degree or technical school certification
Required: Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience
Physical Requirements:
Regular exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, outdoor conditions, and loud environments
Frequent physical activities including standing, walking, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Required vision abilities include close and distance vision
