Job Description:
As a Sound Technician at Pacific Revival Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our audio production during worship services and special events. Working closely with our worship team and technical staff, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio equipment to deliver clear and impactful sound reinforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate sound equipment including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, and speakers for rehearsals, services, and events.
Coordinate with worship leaders and musicians to achieve optimal sound balance and quality during rehearsals and performances.
Monitor and adjust audio levels, EQ settings, and effects during live services to ensure excellent sound quality and clarity.
Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise and implement solutions promptly to minimize disruptions during services and events.
Collaborate with other technical team members to integrate audio with lighting, video, and multimedia elements for cohesive worship experiences.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting audio equipment such as mixers, microphones, and speakers.
Understanding of audio principles including sound reinforcement, EQ, and signal flow.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team of staff and volunteers. Flexibility and willingness to adapt is important.
Good communication skills and a passion for serving the church community through technical ministry.
Experience as a sound technician. Minimum 2 years in live audio is preferred.
Rate: $20 - $25/hr.
Part-time position
Hours: Saturday am - rehearsal - 2 hrs.
Sunday am – Sunday service - 4 hrs.
