Job Qualifications: Reliable, honest, personable and service-oriented individuals needed to work as Technician subcontractors. Experience in the entertainment or audio visual industry required. Applicants must be familiar with different types of sound, video and lighting equipment. Though studio or engineering experience is appreciated, only applicants with live event experience will be considered. A clean driving record, the ability to drive vans / large trucks and safe driving habits also very important. Applicants with interest in long-term (at least one year), part-time (one to three days per week) working relationship are desired. Work days and times vary week to week so this position is perfect for musicians, artists and others who desire a flexible schedule. There are also lots of last minute work opportunities can present themselves. Must live on the West side of the Big Island, preferably in Kailua-Kona. Job Description: Sound, Lighting & Video Technician will handle the delivery, setup and break-down of equipment for corporate parties, conferences, concerts, weddings and many other types of events. Gear varies from event to event and can include sound systems, musical instruments, DJ equipment, video projection, lighting rigs and dance floors. Some situations also require operation of the equipment. . Though you would be working as a subcontractor for our company, equipment and vehicles are generally provided to you to maintain consistency of our service. Technicians will often be asked to drive to other parts of the island including Kohala, Waimea, Hilo & Puna. Some training is necessary even for qualified personnel. Technicians will also need to professionally interact with clients, hotel representatives and fellow crew members.
