Well established mechanical contractor looking to hire experienced HVAC DDC Controls Tech III.
Summary Description:
Conduct preventive maintenance, trouble shooting & repair, general servicing, development,
installation, and commissioning of HVAC automation systems. Responsible for ensuring high
levels of customer service and satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
Diagnose and repair complex DDC system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of digital controls systems.
Communicate regularly with customers and discuss operating problems, inform customer of the nature of service provided, needed repairs & recommended system upgrades.
Assist sales with bid proposals and providing sales leads.
Write field proposals for retrofits, upgrades and/or enhancements to existing equipment.
Assist in the design development of hardware and software configuration of building control systems as defined by the contract documents, including creating flow diagrams, sequence of operations, network layouts, electrical schematics, submittals and bill of materials.
Release/order and track all materials for assigned projects.
Assist with job layouts, loading, trouble shooting and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required.
Conduct owner training and compiling job close out documentation including certificate of completion, customer training forms, training certificates, etc.
Mentor mechanical and electrical technicians in the field.
Communicate and work in cooperation with other divisions, managers and subcontractors.
Complete other assignments and tasks as assigned.
