Human Responsibilities:
Greeting customers and familiarizing them with the rules of the cat lounge.
Check in customers for cat cafe reservations.
Take reservations for walk-in customers.
Engaging with customers about the different cats and mission.
Ring up drinks/food orders and retail.
Answer general questions about the cat café.
Assist with cat adoptions.
Assist with events (such as birthday parties) and various tasks as needed.
Cat Responsibilities:
General care of cats, including waste removal, feeding, and cleaning .
Observing the wellness of all cats and monitoring their behavior.
Cleaning all areas of the cats living space (litter boxes, beds, floors, walls, windows,
etc).
Overall supervision of cat lounge.
Skills/Qualifications:
Must love cats - You recognize each cat and its individual personalities, likes, and dislikes. Previous experience caring for multiple cats (whether through volunteering in a shelter, fostering, owning a cat, etc.) preferred.
Great customer service - Should be comfortable and friendly with customers and able to handle multiple customers during busy times. Previous experience engaging and multi- tasking with customers preferred.
Technologically confident - Should be comfortable with point-of-sale, reservations, and taking photos on a cell phone. Previous experience in retail preferred.
Great communication skills – You will be educating many guests through their first visit by explaining rules and how to have the best experience, while being patient with children.
Proactive - Can spot negative cat or human interactions and can work to defuse them.
Detail-oriented - You notice the little things and act on them.
Commitment to being responsible and dependable (transportation, etc.).
Ability to endure frequent sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs., stooping, carrying, and reaching.
