Kamaole Sands is a 440 unit condo resort located in Kihei, Maui. Each unit is owned by an individual. The resort is managed by an Association with a seven-member Board of Directors. The Association employs approximately 20 full-time employees, and a number of contract employees.
Kamaole Sands is looking for an upbeat, team player with a positive attitude to join our Security Department. Please see below, the Security Officer job description. Pre-employment drug screen and background check required. Must currently live on Maui.
Responsibilities:
1. Has knowledge of all house rules and by-laws which impact the daily operating of Kamaole Sands and maintain the quality of life and preservation of property set forth in said rules & laws.
2. Knows the appropriate manner to interact and talk with owners/guests so as to achieve compliance with the rules in a spirit of cooperation, respect and aloha
3. Completes all routine work which includes, but is not limited to the following:
Perimeter & interior walks, retrieving and processing BBQ grills, completion of security and lighting reports, helping in pool area, dealing with guest and owner issues, controlling pool problems, etc.
4. Knows how to handle various possible types of emergencies which might arise on the property. Who to call, how to get vital information such as names, room numbers, phone numbers (for follow up) and what actions to take.
5. Knows how to interact with contractors and require their compliance with rules which govern how and when they work on the property.
6. Knows how to deal with noise, smoking and parking violations in a professional way.
7. Knows how to help people trapped in non-operating elevators.
8. Has knowledge in the operation of all pool & spa equipment, exercise machines in the gym, key systems on property, the lost & found, and fire alarm systems.
9. Completes special projects as directed by supervisor or senior management.
10. Other duties, as assigned.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
