Job description
As an Event Security professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property during various events. Your primary duties will include monitoring the venue, conducting security checks, managing crowd control, and responding to incidents or emergencies. You will collaborate with event organizers and local authorities to develop and implement security plans tailored to each event's unique requirements. Strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for this role. You will also be expected to provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment.
Duties
- Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue to deter and detect potential security threats.
- Manage crowd control to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with event organizers to assess security needs and develop plans.
- Provide assistance and information to attendees as needed.
Maintain incident reports and documentation for security-related activities.
Requirements
- Possess a Hawaii State Issued Guard Card.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods.
- Certification in first aid/CPR and security training is a plus.
