We are looking for passionate individuals with or with out prior farming expiration to join our growing farm team in Haiku! Kapuai Valley Farms is a 60 acre mixed regenerative farm focusing on biodynamic and regenerative methods for growing vegetables and raising livestock.
This position is for harvesting and packing produce (snap peas, poha berries, carrots, beets, tomatoes, corn, squash, etc.) No maintenance or landscaping work is required of this position.
Scheduled days are Mondays and Tuesdays. Hours are 8am-5pm with lunch from 11:30-1:00pm. This is a 6 month contract with option for renewal. Compensation is $20.00/hr
The first half of your day will be focused on harvesting the produce out in the fields (bring sun shirt, water bottle, lunch, snacks, etc.) The second half of the day will be focused on sorting, cleaning and packing the produce. You will be allowed 5-10 minute water or snack breaks throughout your shift as needed.
Some days might be longer/shorter than others depending on seasonal supply and demand of produce and/or weather conditions. However, most shifts will be 7.5 hrs of paid labor per day.
Restroom facilities, water filling station, and shared fridge for cold items will be provided.
