Your job entails the management of all inventory coming and going, managing the morning production crew, and overall warehouse management.
Your primary overall responsibility will be organizing and overseeing the daily operations of Back of House at Kauai Juice Co’s main operations facility in Lihue. The Production and Inventory Managers’ responsibilities involve the effective and successful management of Back of House team members, inventory purchases for the entire company, product quality control, new policy implementation, warehouse management and organization, overall workplace happiness, and safety measures. You will be the one to ensure that our Back of House is well-coordinated and productive by managing its inventory, procedures, and coaching its people in order to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success of Kauai Juice Co. Your work hours will be roughly Monday thru Friday 8am-4pm.

Wholesale department
Booch bay operations including kombucha, hot sauce, ferments, salts, elixirs, and any items not made during night production.
Bottle Washing

You are responsible for schedules, hiring, training, employee reviews, retention, and overall work place satisfaction. It is also your responsibility to make sure that the company keeps running thru out emergencies and transitions.
INVENTORY
You will be responsible for keeping inventory of every item at the juice co, as well as purchasing and making sure every item is received for the company. That includes keeping proper inventory, rotation and quality management, production of inventory ( if we produce it ourselves, for example ginger and turmeric juice) keeping updated cost analysis of all inventory, as well as the storage and distribution of the inventory. You will be fully in charge of making sure we do not run out of product. This is a crucial roll in our company that will absolutely determine our success moving forward.
You will also confirm all special orders and retail items are getting made and delivered to the stores properly each day. You will be deciding inventory numbers and keeping live track on what is happening in all the stores throughout the day. Setting up the night crew and the retail staff for success.
Constant set up and communication with our night time production staff as well as our delivery driver to make sure inventory is being made, distributed, recorded, and sold properly.

One of your primary responsibilities is making sure your team is happy, thriving, and receiving the support they need in order to do their job efficiently. Responsibilities may include (and are not limited to):

It is your responsibilty to knowledgable enough in the morning departments and be able to manage them in a case of emergency. Whether it’s calling in alternative staff to get duties completed, or completing them yourself, it is your responsibility to make sure all departments are set up for success each day.
Vendor Management
Serving as primary point of contact when there are vendor issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site
Managing relationships, contracts/agreements with external partners/vendors, making sure they are happy and content with our service

Quality Control
Maintaining exceptional quality of end product
Communicating customer issues with prodution team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints as needed on the boh end.
Maintaining high quality of produce/products, ensuring products are stored for efficiency, preventing spoilage
Inventory
Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods and facility layout
Receiving production and merchandise inventory and seeing it is handled properly and dispersed quickly
Keeping inventory costs within budgeted guidelines
Performing analysis of our inventory, ensuring we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data and reducing expenses
Organizing the budget of the company in collaboration with the Owner
Keeping costing under control and within budgeting guidelines
Reviewing financial information and adjusting operational budgets to promote profitability
Performing monthly reports on sales and waste

Liaising with Owner to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
Planning and monitoring the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
Evaluating regularly the efficiency of business procedures and processes and suggest/apply improvements
Working closely with Owner, Management team, and staff to brainstorm new policies, procedures and systems implementation, and following through with implementations only after new policies have been cleared with Owner
Evaluating overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Ensuring that the back of house runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
Researching new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency with the goal of increasing profitability
