Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual to be the Assistant Buyer/Inventory Manager at our Koloa location. The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with computers and be proficient with Microsoft Excel. We seek someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills who is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The majority of the Hoku Foods team has been with us for years, we have very little employee turnover. This is an opportunity to join a successful, happy and healthy company that is able to support the right applicant.
Responsibilities:
Assist Department Buyer with keeping on-hand inventory accurate
Scan inventory using handheld device
Receive small and large deliveries and shipments
Manage proper product rotation and track expiring inventory
Perform cycle counts (physical inventory counts)
Data entry (updating re-order levels)
Run inventory reports using POS system
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, especially Word and Excel
Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break
Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, lift boxes, push and pull carts
